I suggest going to www.allrecipes.com It has a ton of cookie recipes and they are rated by people who have tried it, and people comment what they did differently to the recipe if necessary, etc. I get most of my food ideas from there.

depends where you go skiing
from my point of view on the east coast, the more north you go the more christians there are. where i go skiing (Vermont), practically everybody there is Christian so on christmas day, the mountains are empty and the only skiiers youll find are Jews and Asians. Also christmas eve later in the day might be empty because everybodys going home early and starting up a fire and get in the Christmas spirit
so yeah, christmas eve but mostly christmas are your best days to go

I am pretty sure there are specialized christmas lights that are made to do that sort of thing, but I know there is a way to do this with ordinary lights. The problem is that this alternative plan may end up costing more than just buying all new lights.

We have an artificial tree at home, and it’s not the best quality. The top is very flimsy! The star weighs it down and it looks like a Charlie Brown Christmas Tree! Anyway, I use black thread and hold the star up by the thread. You can have the thread help in place to the ceiling with a thumb tac. So, basically, the tree topper is ‘hanging’ over the tree, but is still on the tree. The weight of the topper is just supported by the thread (which, by the way, can’t be seen).

My cats Molly and Lucy have just experienced a christmas tree. Its their first christmas this year! They have tried climbing up the tree,they have climbed in the tree and played with the ornaments!

My Cat Porky has decided to join them. This is the first year I have seen him play in the tree! Its his 4th christmas!
My cat Pepper who died in January loved taking naps in the tree! She loved sitting in the tree!

If she was alive today she would be playing in the tree!

Some families open gifts in a big circle. Going in some sort of order (clock wise, youngest to oldest, height, etc) the first person opens one present and everyone pays attention (like at a birthday party, they have the lime light) then the next person opens one, and so on. This works best if everyone has a rather equal and small number of presents or you’ll end up with the youngest one opening his/her last ten all in a row since everyone else has finished opening their gifts. This also works great if you plan on taking lots of pictures!

To drag the gift opening out more, you could also open one one christmas eve, one before breakfast, one after, one before lunch, and so on. You could also do this spread-out gift opening thing with the above circle idea – each person opening one gift at each time slot.

You could go out and purchase a few strings of either white Christmas lights or rope lights. Then, using little picture-hanger hooks, you can hang the string(s) around the perimeter of the room at the height level you desire.
