You don’t need a list of the dangers. You need to obey the law of the state in which you live and if that state has a law against using a cell phone while driving or texting you would be in violation of the law and subject to a ticket. The list of dangers is not necessary to know, the law is what is necessary to know.

Driving is a full time project, it takes all of your attention to keep from causing other drivers and pedestrians harm. If you want to get a good look at the stupidity demonstrated by inattentive drivers ride with a truck driver for one day. You will see plenty! I hope you don’t choose a truck driver who does text while driving, but you get a interesting perspective from up there. The act of driving while distracted is a demonstration of a lack of respect for others!

people are not paying attention to road, their eyes are off the road too long that if they came in contact or close to a collision they have a less reaction time…

more pedestrians are killed/injured by drivers who are texting

its illegal in i think 14 states so you can get a ticket or lose your license if caught

your insurance for your car is more likely to drop you if you are found guilty by texting or talking on a cell and had an accident or ticketed in extreme cases

it is a huge distraction that takes 65 percent of your brain activity to focus on what you are texting or trying to say rather then paying attention to the road

some studies show 50 percent of teenagers admit to texting and driving which is also the large portion of people who are causing some sort of accident

and studies show that texting while driving is more dangerous then talking on a cell phone

Whether it’s “popular” or not, I don’t know. That said there are certainly lots of college students who share even one-bedroom apartments with someone else because they either can’t afford a bigger one or just want to save the money.

The pro of course is that it’s cheaper to get a studio or even a one-bedroom than a two-bedroom or bigger. The con is that especially in a studio, you won’t have ANY privacy. Studios typically don’t have a “bedroom” – you either put your bed anywhere in the apartment or there might be a space with an extra wall for some semblance of privacy. So, you wouldn’t really have any privacy if it was only you there, and you certainly won’t if you’re sharing it with someone.

If it’s worth losing your privacy to save the money, then go for it. Otherwise, you might at least look for a one-bedroom to share – then you can share the bedroom for sleeping purposes but if you need to be apart for a while one of you can take the bedroom and one can take the living area.

Another option is to create a Group in your Address Book. Then you can send a text message (SMS) to the entire group at once. This isn’t really necessary if you are just sending out a one-time message, but it will save you time if you send out a lot of group messages.

To create a Group:
Open your Address Book and press the menu key.
Select New Group, then type in a name for the group
Press the menu key and select Add Member.
It will bring up your contact list: Select the name you want to add to the group. If there is only one phone number entered for that person, it will be added to the group. If more than one number come up, select their mobile number.
Repeat to add more group members.
When you are done, press the menu key and select Save Group.

To send out a group text, go to Messages, press the menu key and select Compose SMS Text. Select the group name from your address book. I believe that a text message sent to 10 people at once is counted as 10 text messages.
