I’m not so sure that it’s an actual number as just general restraint. Don’t immediately respond to every text she sends, for instance. Give it some time, otherwise you come off as desperate.

This poll is great for showing how both guys and girls feel about the number of times you should text.
I find that the best advice for me when I had a lot of trouble with dating is that if you really want to text someone or have them text back then you need to cool off. It is best to text when you genuinely have a good text to send that both parties will respond to well.
example: When I see a guy with a funny mustache I am gona try and sneak a pic and text it with a fun message to my girlfriend since we love that kind of stuff.
It doesn’t matter when or how often it should just be natural and feel right as you get to know how you both like to interact with each other.
Until you feel comfortable though I agree with mr PUA above in that you just want to take your time so you don’t seem desperate.
