Question by Marissa J: What are things to talk about over text message?
So i met a really nice guy, and i think we are just friends. But when we text each other we run out of things to say. I really need some ideas before i lose this friends to my other friend, who is just texting him because she thinks that he likes me.

Talk about:
his day, your day, your plans for the weekend, his plans, favorite movie, things you like to do. don’t be afraid to be random.

sometimes what i do when the convo gets uber-boring, is i say something completly random, and be like “haha sorry, i tend to be rather random” and sometimes it can go into a conversation. You could talk about who each other likes, fav colors, what sports you play [ if there the same thats good], and your hobbies.

If you have nothing to talk about then maybe you just hav nothing in common! You shouldnt have to pre think things to say to him. Just talk about things that happened in the day..same as you would if you wer sitting next to him…Ormaybe you just talk to him way too much..lol..hope this helps!
When you run out of things to say by text, pick the phone up as per its intended use and ring him to speak. Use your voice!
“hey what’s up with you?”
find out what sports and other stuff he likes to do etc.
well if me and my friend get bored online [he's a guy] we play ‘the question game’. it’s basically you take turn asking each other random questions. it’s only fun if you both make it. you haveta answer truthfully too. you can start out with like, favorite colors. but as you run outta easy questions, it gets more and more intense. it’s a fun way to get to know the other person even better! also, his day [if he had work or school], sports, your day, television shows you might like to watch, books, movies, music, anything you two have in common [clubs or stuff like that], just be yourself! hope ti works out for you ?
Stop texting him and go on a date, see if things work out. If you have to ask people on yahooanswers what to text him, you might as well go on a date (coffee, drinks, lunch.etc.) and see if you have anything in common.
The more you see each other in person and actually do things together, the more you will have to talk/text about the next day.
The more you just text him back and forth the more bored he will get (you too!) so here’s what you should text him:
“Hey, enough texting, how about we get something to eat together and talk in person?”
What is your favorite Color, movie, rental, place to eat, people you like to hang out with, outfits you like women to wear, tube or tanktop.
